Composition:
1 g of the veterinary medicinal product contains:
Active substance:
Chlortetracyclini hydrochloridum 160 mg
Excipients: Acidum citricum anhydricum, glucosum monohydricum.
Homogenous yellow powder.
Indications:
Treatment of respiratory and gastrointestinal infections of pigs caused by microorganisms susceptible to chlortetracycline, such as: Bronchopneumonia (Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Klebsiella spp., Pasteurella multocida, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae), enteritis (Escherichia coli, Salmonella choleraesuis) and ileitis (Lawsonia intracellularis).
Dosage for each species, route and method of administration:
56 mg chlortetracycline hydrochloride (i.e. 0.35 g medicine) per kg bw., or 0.5 % (5 kg per ton feed stuff). Dose should be divided into two equal doses and administered twice a day.
Duration of administration: 5-10 days.
On the basis of recommended dose and number and weight of treated animals, the exact daily dose of the medicine AUREOGAL 160 mg/g powder for oral solution should be calculated according to the following formula:

Average feed intake (L) per animal and day =
… g medicine per 1 kg of feed
To ensure a correct dosage, bodyweight should be determined as accurately as possible to avoid underdosing. The uptake of medicated water depends on the clinical condition of the animal. In order to obtain the correct dosage, the concentration of medicine has to be adjusted taking into account water intake.
Advice on correct administration:
Orally, homogenously mixed into the feed.
Withdrawal period:
Meat and offal: 10 days.
Contraindications:
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Do not use in animals with severe hepatic or renal impairment.
Adverse reactions:
Allergic skin reactions may rarely occur, however after interruption or termination of treatment disappear.

Special storage precautions:
Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Store below 25°C. Store in dry place. Protect from light.
Do not use this veterinary medicinal product after the expiry date which is stated on the label. Shelf life after incorporation into feed: use immediately.
