According to the recommended dose, the number and weight of treated animals, the exact daily dose of DOXYGAL 50 mg/g powder for oral solution, should be calculated using the following formula:

(...g Doxygal 50 mg/g plv.sol. per kg bw. and day x Average bodyweight (kg) of treated animals)/ Average daily water consumption (L) per animal = ...g Doxygal 50 mg/g plv.sol. per 1 litre of drinking water

To ensure administration of correct dose, bodyweight should be determined as accurately as possible.
Medicated water intake depends on climate conditions.
To ensure correct dosage the concentration has to be adjusted accordingly.
If separable bags are used, it is recommended to use suitable calibrated weights.
Preparation of daily dose of medicated water should provide an amount to be consumed within the next 2 hours.

Freshly medicated water for the next 2 hours should be prepared only. It is recommended to prepare concentrated preliminary solution – approximately 100 g of veterinary medicinal product per 1 litre of drinking water, which is, if applicable, subsequently diluted into therapeutic concentration.
