Composition:

1 g of the veterinary medicinal product contains:

Active substance:
Lincomycinum 110 mg
Excipients: Glucosum anhydricum.

White powder.

Indications:

  • Treatment of dysentery and mycoplasmal pneumonia in pigs (Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae)
  • Treatment of anaerobic infections of the gastrointestinal tract in pigs, broilers and turkeys - necrotic enteritis (Clostridium perfringens).
  • Treatment of mycoplasma infections in broilers, turkeys and pigeons (Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma synoviae, Mycoplasma meleagridis, Mycoplasma iowae).

Dosage for each species, route and method of administration:

Pigs:
General dose is 5-10 mg lincomycin per kg bw., i.e. 45-90 mg of the product per kg bodyweight.

Use in drinking water:
Treatment of mycoplasmal pneumonia:
900 g of the product per 1000 litres of drinking water is sufficient for approximately 200 pigs of weight 50 kg. Treatment should be administered in the time of disease and until maximum 10 days after clinical signs have resolved.
Treatment of dysentery in pigs:
450 g of the product per 1000 litres of drinking water is sufficient for approximately 200 pigs of weight 50 kg. Treatment should be administered in the time of disease and until maximum 10 days after clinical signs have resolved.

To accurately determine the amount of the product in milligrams per litre of drinking water, based on the recommended dose of 45-90 mg of the product per kg bw., use the formula:

Use in feed:
Treatment of mycoplasmal pneumonia:
220 mg lincomycin per kg of feed, i.e. 2 kg of veterinary medicinal product per 1 ton of feed for 7-10 days.
Treatment of dysentery in pigs:
110 mg lincomycin per kg feed, i.e. 1 kg of the product per 1 ton of feed for 7-10 days.

Broilers, turkeys, pigeons:
General dose is 4-7 mg lincomycin per kg bodyweight, i.e. 37-64 mg of veterinary medicinal product per kg bodyweight.

Use in drinking water:
240-420 g of the product per 1000 litres of drinking water for 7 days. Medicated drinking water should be the only water supply available. Medicated water should be changed every 8 hours.
To accurately determine the amount of the product in milligrams per liter of drinking water, based on the recommended dose of 37-64 mg of the product per kg bw., use the formula:

(....(37-64) mg of the product per kg bw. per day x Average bodyweight (kg) of animals to be treated) / Daily water intake in litres per animal = ... mg of the product per litre of drinking water

Individually:
10 g package is a dose for 1 pig with the bodyweight of 100 kg per day, or for the medication of drinking water for 150 pigeons per day. 

Route of administration: Orally, via drinking water or feed.

Advice on correct administration:

The medication of drinking water with the concentrated solution of the medicinal product – method:
Broilers, turkeys, pigeons: 
Dissolve 240-420 g of the product in 10 litres of drinking water, and afterwards with such prepared solution medicate 1000 litres of drinking water.
For the medication of 2000 litres of drinking water, dissolve 480-840 g of the product in 10 litres of drinking water.
Pigs:
For medication of 1000 litres of drinking water, dissolve 550 g of the product in 10 litres of drinking water. For medication of 2000 litres of drinking water, dissolve 1100 g of the product in 10 litres of drinking water. For medication of 3000 litres of drinking water, dissolve 1650 g of the product in 10 litres of drinking water, and so on.

Withdrawal period:

Pigs:
Meat and offal:
- when dose was 110 mg lincomycin per kg of feed or 450 g of the product per 1000 L of water: 1 day.
- when dose was 220 mg lincomycin per kg of feed or 900 g of the product per 1000 L of water: 6 days.

Broilers, turkeys: meat and offal: 5 days.

Contraindications:

Not permitted for use in layers producing eggs for human consumption.

Adverse reactions:

In pigs, diarrhoea and anus oedema may sometimes occur in first two days of the treatment. Redness of the skin and irritated behaviour may occur rarely. These symptoms will disappear in 5-8 days without lincomycin therapy interruption.

Special precautions for storage:

Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Store at 25°C. Store in a dry place. Protect from light.
Do not use this veterinary medicinal product after the expiry date which is stated on the label. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Shelf-life after dilution in the drinking water: 8 hours.
